About the Program
Unmute The Voices is a radio show and video series hosted by Dr. Quinton Morris that celebrates People of Color in classical music. Each episode shines a light on the artistry and achievements of composers and performers from communities of color through powerful performances and thoughtful storytelling.
For much of its history, classical music was limited to a narrow group of voices, leaving People of Color and women on the margins. Unmute The Voices exists to change that by honoring the legacy and creativity of artists who have shaped classical music in meaningful ways.
The companion YouTube channel for Unmute The Voices extends this mission through exclusive artist interviews and behind-the-scenes features that connect audiences more deeply to the people and stories behind the music.
